Hello Greg and company,

It's enlightening to know the composition of the Gamaliel Staff. Especially, the newcomers that I did not get meet. Even more to more indepth the backgrounds of you that I do know. I guess that means that I didn't do my one-on-ones well or that I am having spiritual-physical amnesia, dementia, altheimers (all of the above)!

I miss all of you. I hope to see you someplace, somewhere up the road.

Love, peace, and prayer,
Rev. Joseph H. Jackson, Jr.

Wow! Quite a movement to be proud of. It sure helps to read about so many countries and states working together to promote the common good. Gamaliel, thank you for the many years of organizing you have set in process. Our own Roxanne smith from st. Joseph the Worker makes us proud as a social justice community. Kudos!

I pray that the health care plan backed by President Obama does not become law until it is clearly thought through. A law as huge as this one demands as debate as we can afford.

From a humanitarian perspective, our fellow human beings, who migrate to support their families, continue to suffer at the hands of immigration policies that separate them from family members and drive them into remote parts of the American desert, sometimes to their deaths. This suffering should not continue.

Now is the time to address this pressing humanitarian issue which affects so many lives and undermines basic human dignity. Our society should no longer tolerate a status quo that perpetuates a permanent underclass of persons and benefits from their labor without offering them legal protections.
